This was a charming dinner experience. The restaurant is very quaint and old fashioned. The food was delicious.

The food and tea were lovely! The staff was pleasant. Virtually the only disappointing part of the afternoon was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. For $65/person I expected the toilets to be clean.

very nice interior decoration, loved the blinis and the caviar, very nice polite waiters; somewhat disappointed that the bear glass acquarium that was seen in the advertisement was closed.

We were there for high tea. Having had high tea before and at $60/head, we had "high" expectations.
It was just after Christmas, so we knew it would be busy, but the service was surprisingly slow - not leisurely but slow. Service and presentation were a bit sloppy. I had not expected tea bags, but loose tea. We had to ask for a refill of hot water. Also, clotted cream is a nicer touch with scones than butter. Decor is great fun and I am glad we went, but won't be back. The sandwiches were the best part.
